Wikang Katutubo: Tungo sa Isang Bansang Filipino

This year's theme is "Wikang Katutubo: Tungo sa Isang Bansang Filipino". This year's Filipino month celebration is all about the worth and importance of "wikang katutubo" or indigenous languages.

Languages and dialects made a big role to our daily lifestyle. Without our languages and dialects, we will not be able to communicate to others. Philippines has 130 dialects in all and the 8 major dialects are: Tagalog, Iloko, Panggasinense, Kapangpangan, Bicolano, Cebuano, Waray, and Hiligaynon. Those 8 major dialects are also seen in the logo of KWF (Komisyon sa Wikang Katutubo), in the leadership of Mr. Virgilio Almario "Rioalma". 

They celebrate Filipino Month to enlighten and to change the mind-set of the youths this generation because Generation Z was influenced by their celebrity crushes that's why they're trying and loving other languages such as Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and etc. It's important for us Filipinos to know first our own nationality and loving and respecting our ancestors. We Filipinos should also be proud of who we are. Our own indigenous language is also one of the objects to identify to which where you belong in the Philippines. Our indigenous languages are the precious gift to us by our ancestors so we should respect and keep using it. 

It is important to us to know and appreciate our indigenous languages than loving other languages. We should learn and get used to use our own indigenous languages before its too late for us to adjust. Many youths are already influenced by their celebrity crushes and they already using the same language that their crushes use. The present generation is at risk of foreign language is being used  while indigenous language is being forgotten. Before it's too late, young people need to keep in mind the indigenous language to be spoken. It's not a bad idea to use foreign languages, as long as we don't forget our indigenous language to speak.

Reflection

       In my ICT 10, i have learned that Internet covers the world. Internet is the sources of eveything before. Now, internet is just a word that manifest the satisfaction of human kind. It's sad but true. They often use Internet to communicate, studying pprpuses, and playing through it.

       Well, honestly I don't have any problems to my ICT 10 because I can follow instructions. I understand our topics and lessons but when quizes and exams tests me, I lost my memory of it so, I badly need to review but still I got average score. I only challenge myslef to improve my writing skills cause i know that i'm poor with it.

        In order to overcome it, i read articles and i try to write anything. I take some time to get used to the problem. I put things into perspective and I look at it in a positive way.

        Moving on, i will still study the community of Internet. I will improve everything that is to be improved. I will do my best to overcome my problems. I will finish my studies and make my parents proud.
